About            Sacro Bosco di Bomarzo            Program            Practical Informations            M3MORY 3D          EN / IT

Bomarzo is located in Tuscia, an Etruscan territory that extends between Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. The small village, which lies in the province of Viterbo, is at the center of the largest archaeological park in Europe, the area with the largest number of findings from Prehistoric to Modern times. Bomarzo dominates the volcanic gullies with its architectures built entirely of peperino, the local lava stone. A seductive village full of fantastic and historical narrations inhabited by artists, archaeologists, researchers, philosophers and mystics.
Bomarzo is easily accessible by car and has a free public parking at the foot of the ancient town (which can not be accessed by car if you are not residents). The nearest stations are Orte and Attigliano. Bomarzo is 90 km from Rome, 490 km from Milan, 190 km from Florence and 290 km from Naples.

You can find various accommodation solutions in Bomarzo, we recommend booking an airbnb in the ancient village (Rione Dentro) or in its proximity. The village is very small so once you have parked it is easy to walk around. The Sacro Bosco of Bomarzo is a 10-minute walk from the Piazza del Duomo in Rione Dentro.

The area surrounding Bomarzo is scattered with sites of unmissable cultural interest, among which we recommend:
-The Piramide Etrusca or Sasso del Predicatore; -The Etruscan necropoli in the Riserva di Monte Casoli;
-Il Cimitero di Santa Cecilia; -Archeological Area of Valle di Cagnemora;

-Le Terme dei Papi;
- Le Cascate di Chia del Fosso Castello
